KMT, Kuwait – Kuwait Motor Town successfully hosted its final round of the (KMTC 2K) series on Saturday, the 18th of March, to follow up on round 2 of the KMTC 2K series on Kuwait’s National Race Week of the 2022/2023 season.
The final round of the season witnessed impressive performances from three participating drivers from Kuwait, Ahmed Al Ghanem (Honda S2000), Abdullah Ben Nakhi (Honda Civic), and Mohammad Al Abdalrazzaq (Toyota GT86).
Renowned race driver Ahmed Al Ghanem of Kuwait showcased his skills with an excellent performance in the Honda S2000, placing first in both races 1 and 2, leading the race for 10 laps with a total time of 13:01.271 (Race 1) and 12:48.885 (Race 2), and the fastest lap of 1:17.392 (Race 1) and 1:15.966 (Race2), to take a considerable leap giant earning a perfect 50 points in the championship standings for a total of 86 points after missing out on the second round of the KMTC 2K series.
Kuwait’s Abdullah Ben Nakhi finished the race with an impressive performance in the Honda Civic, placing second in both races 1 and 2, trailing the leader from start to finish with a total time of 13:14.970 (Race 1) and 13:16.032 (Race 2), with a fastest lap of 1:18.670 (Race 1) and 1:18.688 (Race 2), earning a total of 36 points over the two races of round 3.
Veteran race driver Mohammad Al Abdalrazzaq made it to the podium in third place for races 1 and 2, with Al Abdalrazzaq finishing the race in the Toyota GT86 with a total time of 13:40.878 (Race 1) and 13:25.459 (Race 2), with the fastest lap of 1:21.155 (Race 1) and 1:19.277 (Race 2), earning a total of 30 points over the two races of round 3.
