The Kuwait Motor Sports Club announced today, in cooperation with Promotrix, the launch of the first IAME Karting Championship on November 19th and 20th, where it will be held in the karting arena in Kuwait City for motorsport KMT.
Youssef Hamad Al-Bader, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Motor Sports Club, said that karting races are the first step in the world of motorsport. The foundation that contributed to the preparation and qualification of the world's most famous formula racers such as Michael Schumacher, Arton Senna, Louis Hamilton, and others, as well as the beginning of many NASCAR drivers, stressing the keenness of the Kuwaiti Motor Sports Club to develop and refine the talents of young people in the sport and move them to the level that qualifies them to compete with their peers in the world.
He added that the IAME Karting Championship would contribute to creating a new style to educate young people about the dangers of racing on the roads and will enhance the trend towards encouraging them to participate in sports championships for engines accredited locally and internationally, allowing them to enjoy all and various forms of motorsport in race tracks equipped and explicitly designed for safe racing under international safety requirements under the supervision of specialists and the presence of official bodies such as the Ministry of Defense and Fire as well as representatives of various media visual, audio and read, referring to specifications. The 1,261-meter track in Kuwait City is counterclockwise and clockwise, allowing flexibility to change course and maintain track status so that the racers have a unique experience each time and much other fun and exciting features that satisfy even the finest veteran drivers.
The IAME Karting Championship includes ten races divided into five consecutive rounds. The number of contestants expected to participate in the tournament after the registration opening ranges from 10 to 20 racers. The championship is characterized by the diversity of categories that allow participation. For all and different age groups of both sexes, from 8 years to older, it includes five categories, the first of which is the rocker category from 8 to 12 years, the mini-8 to 12 years, and the junior from 12 to 15 years, adults 15 years and older, and finally the master class of 30 years and older, indicating the coronation of three winners in each category after each round. In the last race of the month, the champions are crowned for each class to participate in the International Amyami Championship held in Italy. They succeeded in scoring the highest number of points in the five rounds of the month.
The one-round race applies fifteen laps along the 1,261-meter racetrack, defined by three essential conditions for participating in the tournament:
- First, the rider obtains a license to participate in the race from the qualified entities advertised on the dedicated website (www.iameserieskuwait.com).
- Second, the rider owns a karting car for his championship.
- Third, comply with safety and safety requirements for protecting the rider's body and wearing a sports suit, helmet to protect the head, and shoes for racing.
The five tour dates for the tournament are:
- The first round is from November 19 to 20
- Second round from 24 to December 25, 2021
- Third round from January 14 to 15, 2022
- The fourth and fifth rounds and the tournament's conclusion are from March 4 to 5, 2022.
